Mid Autumn Special: 603 Tau Sar Piah Mooncakes 2018
In Chinese culture, the full moon is considered a symbol of reunion. The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month – this year, the festival falls on 24th September 2018. While spending time to admire the moon with our loved ones, mooncakes are an indispensable delicacy and a highlight for many people. Possibly for this reason, many people call the mid-autumn festival the “mooncake festival” as well.
With the mooncake’s round shape symbolizing completeness and reunion, the sharing and eating of mooncakes is a meaningful tradition as family and friends gather to enjoy the pastry together. As a present, the mooncake is a thoughtful gift representing well wishes to the receiver.
For 2018, 603 Tau Sar Piah will be offering a selection of Mooncakes for sale, including both the traditional style and other special regional varieties.
